In a surprising collaboration that defies conventional forecasts, Ubisoft has unveiled an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, providing complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Adventure Disclosed
According to the formal announcement, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of banned rituals and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "oddly attired woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with traveling into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her ally from a hidden sect.
The mission focuses on "strange trials and a terrifying foe" and is open to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Metamorphoses
The preview highlights the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, likely the hostage, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Additional Content
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

This patch also brings the game's third no-cost story content, titled "A Puzzlement." This lighthearted mission partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange signature techniques: Naoe reveals a dramatic variation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke masters non-lethal stealth takedowns. Faithful to its name, "The Mystery" also contains a new environmental puzzle that may finally shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
